About me
My name is Osvaldo Luiz dos Santos Pereira, currently working as a data scientist, CEO and founder of sciencedata.ai and doing research on theoretical physics. My Phd thesis theme is on warp drive theory a subject from classical general relativity. My work as a data scientist is implementing machine learning solutions and applications for business. My other research interests are machine learning and econophysics. You can reach me at osvald23@gmail.com or osvaldo.pereira@sciencedata.ai. Feel free to contact me about doing research on any of my interest fields.
Warp Drive Theory
The warp drive is a type of propulsion system capable of allowing appearent faster than light travel and was originally proposed by Miguel Alcubierre in 1994. I currently work on Einstein equation solutions with different types of energy momentum tensors as a mechanism for interestelar appearent faster than light travel using warp drive as a propulsion system. This is an interdisciplinary research, so I also work on relativistic fluid dynamics, Lie symmetries, solitons and exotic solutions of Einstein equations.

General Relativity
My research interest in classical general relativity are theoretical, mainly analytics and exact solutions of Einstein equations, exotic solutions such as warp drive and wormholes, closed timelike curves and so on and so forth. Other areas are relativistic hydrodynamics, black holes and entropic aspects of gravitation and large scale structure.
Machine Learning and Neural Networks
I currently work on pragmatic solutions and applications of machine learning in business, focusing on algorithm optimization, heuristic approaches of ad-hoc mathematical models and pragmatic implementations of neural networks. I recently began to study geometric deeplearning. You can see some of my professional work as a data scientist on my blog and in my company website sciencedata.ai.
Econophysics
I worked in banking as an analyst, back in 2010 they data science hype was not a thing yet, implemented ad-hoc models using microeconomics and some macroeconomics when I was a credit risk analyst. I then came across the term econophysics in one of my studies for validating macroeconomic models. To make a long story short, I found it very interesting using quantum statistics in finance.
Health Analytics
I always found that medicine was an interesting field, but since both my father and mother are doctors and I got to see with y own eyes how the life of medical doctors are excruciating I never felt like pursuing this carrer. Also since I was 15 I’d rather study high level math. I have been working with health analytics for three years now, mostly in data science consulting.
